Tour de Rock Comes To KSS!!

This year Kwalikum Secondary School raised a total of eight-thousand dollars for Tour De Rock! This is one of the highest donating years from our school.Throughout the years from 2016- 2022 we have collected over twenty-three-thousand dollars for Cops for Cancer. Some of our biggest donations this year were from French press Coffee Roaster. They did a pie week where if you bought a pie and coffee all the proceeds would go towards our schools total. They raised six hundred and eighty dollars, and showed lots of local support. In addition KSS did a “Stuck for a Buck” fundraiser where Mr. Dodd and Mr. Dykstra were taped to a wall to raise money. KSS also had two-thousand dollars from last year that added to the total. There were six brave people that shaved their heads for Tour de Rock, and they raised an amazing two hundred and ninety. They were Mr. Rogers, Mason, Lexi, Carter, and Hannah. Leadership matched our donations and added an additional one thousand five hundred dollars. The rest of the money was raised from our community, and from our class competition that raised a whopping three thousand sixty five dollars. Special thanks to Riley, Grace and Maddie, as they went door-to-door asking for donations and raised $1111 by themselves. Thank you everyone for participating in this action against cancer, this is an important battle that we can fight!
